It's been a while.  I decided to effect a career change from the retail industry to the healthcare arena.  In order to make an impact in the healthcare industry you have to be licensed for the most part so I have enrolled in nursing school and have spent my summer working on an entry level certification as a Nursing Assistant.  There have been days of uncertainty and self doubt but I am plugging along.

Anyway, switching gears, I just watched an episode of Oprah's Lifeclass with Iyanla Vanzant on the topic of Guilt and I feel the need to share what I learned so humor me.  There are 3 reasons people feel guilty:  1.  You knew better  2.  You caused hurt, harm, or injury  3.  You disappointed someone
Guilt is a wasted emotion and it is ungodly and this is the one that resonated with me, WHEN YOU ARGUE AGAINST REALITY YOU WILL SUFFER.  In my case personally, it takes me forever to accept what is the truth in my life and come to a workable solution or get help.  I would rather have tunnel vision and hope that the problem goes away or some outside force takes care of it without my input.

Before I sign off for today, I have been on a mission to change my food choices to healthier ones like switching to whole wheat bread from white and brown rice from the white/golden versions permanently.  I have lost 4 dress sizes with dietary changes and exercise of course, so I will be sharing some healthy tips on my blog as I come across them.  I would to like to share these 4 unhealthy snacks with you http://www.drweil.com/drw/u/TIP04520/4-Unhealthy-Snacks.html .

Tips

It's flip flop season!  Here is a home remedy for rough cracked feet:  mix 3 tbs glycerin and 1 tbs rosewater well, massage onto feet nightly for two weeks; if possible wear socks to bed.  Do you suffer from razor burns?  Prep skin with sandalwood oil then shave.
